Charlotte has seen an uptick in new restaurants this month, many with their own niche aspects they’re bringing to the city. For Vinyl, it’s all in their name. Welcome to the newest spot in Charlotte to listen to awesome records while sharing small plate and sipping on expertly crafted cocktails.
Their tagline is “Your neighborhood bar remastered” which calls to the bar’s dedication to music and elevated plates. The front bar counter has a full cocktail set up to the right and a library of vinyl records to the left, and a ticker so you can know what’s playing.
While you’re here, try their Hatch Queso Fries with hatch chili peppers, jalapenos, green peppers, bacon, and scallions. If you don’t want fries, switch them out for corn tortilla chips in their queso appetizer. For a bit of a global bite, you can try the Cubano Sandwich or the Peri Peri Chicken. As far as cocktails go, they’ve got many house specials, like their I Want A New Drug, with bourbon, Dr. Pepper, Cacao, and a Vinyl Bitters Blend. For something lighter, try their Golden Years, with Grey Goose Vodka, Christian Drouin Calvados, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao, Honey, Lemon, Scrappy’s Black Lemon Bitters. For something completely unique, we’d recommend the You Only Get One Shot, with local, Pepperbox Doughnuts coffee infused Fernet-Branca.
For fans of booze and vinly, this will be your new favorite spot.
