Welcome to Drift on Lake Wylie, a new chef-forward chop house that’s just opened on Belmont, with beautiful lakefront views. Their grand opening was on May 9th with the spot completely booked. It may be a bit tough getting a reservation this week, as we’re sure this highly coveted restaurant is everyone’s new favorite dinner spot. Plus, the owners are only offering limited reservations for their first opening week.
Accessible via boat at the McLean Marina in Belmont, it’s just a short drive from Charlotte for a lovely weekend lake adventure and delicious food.
The menu is elevated and a bit on the pricier side, but likely well worth it from lead Chef, Nicolas Daniels. A glimpse at their menu sees seafood and meat. From appetizers like Lobster Crab Cakes and Wagyu Beef Tartare, to mains like USDA Prime NY Strip, Bone-In Cowboy Ribeye, Lobster Tail Fettuccine, and NC Mountain Trout stuffed with Lobster Crab Cake. For a perfectly photo-worthy dessert to finish of a perfect meal, try the Dessert Charcuterie with honeycomb, blueberry nougat, peanut butter bonbon, candied pistachios, chocolate bark, and caramel truffles.
They’ve got their own set of signature cocktails as well as 0 ABV Cocktails like their alcohol-free Faux-Jito with fresh lime juice, simple syrup, fresh mint leaves, and soda water.
Their hours are Monday-Thursday from 4pm-10pm. Friday and Saturday from 4pm-11pm and Sunday 3pm-9pm. You can make a reservation at 980-351-0111
