Calling all literature lovers and cocktail enthusiasts in Charlotte! This one-of-a-kind Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy just opened at The Palmer Building in Charlotte, bringing four of Poe’s most infamous works off of the page and onto the stage through an immersive cocktail experience.
The speakeasy is only in town for a limited time from August 24 to August 27 and tickets are selling fast, so secure your spot here before it moves on to its next destination!
Specialty cocktails, including “The Raventini” and “Cocktail of Red Death,” will complement each story.
While it has been over a century and a half since Edgar Allan Poe graced us with a work of detective fiction or gothic horror, his legacy lives on. Within the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy, Poe historians will retell four of his most famous stories with a modern twist. The chilling tales feature The Tell-Tale Heart, The Raven, Masque of Red Death and The Black Cat.
The Palmer Building in Charlotte is the perfect venue for this one-of-a-kind experience, providing a timeless, historic atmosphere. Established in the 1930’s, the rubble stone structure was constructed during President Roosevelt’s Works Progress Administration.
Guests will enjoy a 90-minute interactive show as they sip on four complimentary cocktails. Tickets start at $55 and are available to those ages 21 and up.
