Become a Greek food Connoisseur at this one-of-a-kind foodie experience.
Moussaka, Baklava, and Lamb abound at the Yiasou Greek Festival, returning to Charlotte this September! Embrace the crisp autumnal air as you stroll through the venue, Holy Trinity Charlotte, that will offer Greek food, culture, and entertainment.
There will be three different options for dining: Full Sit Down Meal where you will dine on a full array of grub, A La Carte where you can pick and choose, and Drive-Thru if you don’t have time to stop in and want to take food to go.
The festival takes place on September 8th-11th and take place at Holy Trinity Charlotte.
The food featured at the festival will be rich, flavorful, and above all, delicious. Try a platter of souvlaki, marinated chicken, or a gyro. Even better, every platter that comes with four sides: a small greek salad, tiropita (a feta cheese pie), spanakopita (a feta and spinach pie), and dolmades (a grape leaf stuffed with ground beef and rice).
If you’ve always wanted to try different types of Greek desserts, you’re in luck. The festival will feature favorites like baklava, a phyllo pastry with chopped nuts and spices soaked in honey syrup, or kouloria, a twisted butter cookie with a hint of vanilla.
There won’t only be food at the Yiasou Greek Festival though. The celebration is an ode to Greek culture in general, and there will be dances and music to enjoy as well.
