Vantage South End is perfectly situated right near the Charlotte Rail Trail and Uptown, making it the prime spot for Charlotte’s newest foodie hub. So far, there’s been three restaurants announced–with six more being announced by real estate firm, The Spectrum Companies, later on in the year.
Breakfast and brunch spot, Uptown Yolk, will be returning to South End in Spring 2022. The restaurant closed in 2021 temporarily, but will open up their new location on S. Tyron Street with 100 seats available indoor and outdoor, an enhanced menu, a coffee station, and full bar.
Another newcomer to Vantage South End will be Dram & Drought, a place for the “whiskey fanatic,” with a full bar that offers over 300 whiskeys from around the world. With other locations in Raleigh and Greensboro, this will be the first Charlotte location. To be enjoyed on the menu are their cocktails, like their classic Manhattan and Apple Gin Fizz (which has gin, not whiskey), their single pours of whiskey on the rocks, and their seasonal cocktails.
Finally, we’re excited to see the inclusion of The Good Wurst heading to South End. Part butcher, part baker, all sausage maker, The Good Wurst has an amazing menu filled with ‘wursts, Belgian frites, and Montreal-style bagels and bagel sandwiches. Looks like Charlotte has got a lot to look forward to.
Resident Culture, a brewery with hop-forward beer, has also recently opened there South End location and are considered new neighbors.
James Beard Nominated-Chef will be bringing Culinary Dropout to Vantage South End, headed by James Beard Nominated-Chef Sam Fox. The restaurant will include classics like 36-Hour Slow Roasted Pork and hand-crafted cocktails that pair well with live music or sports games. There are five more restaurants to be announced, so we’ll you updated as this new foodie hub develops. Which are you most excited for?
