Lintmen’s, an adaptive-reuse project is looking to be Charlotte’s newest cultural hub with the opening of a second food market (after Optimist Hall), opening sometime in 2023. Lintmen’s, which straddles the unique neighborhoods of NoDa, Village Heights, and Optimist Park is also located on the XCLT and the Light Rail, making it a prime spot to easily get to in the city.
We’ve already mentioned that Seoul Food Meat Co. is opening up their second location, and it’s going to be a doozy. At 15,000 square feet plus a karaoke bar, Seoul Food Meat Co. is going to be right next to this brand new food hall, complete with 12 food vendors! Urban District Market at Lintmen’s will be opening up just a mile from Optimist Hall, and we couldn’t be more excited to see another vibrant food hall added to the city.
The food hall will be 4 acres with 12 stalls, a restaurant, and a brewery called Lintmen’s a nod to the building’s history as a textile factory. This is Lintmen’s second, after Optimist Hall which has been open now for an entire year.
So far, only one food tenant has been confirmed, and the owner of Urban District Market claims he doesn’t want to reveal the rest, but will let the other tenants spill the beans themselves. We eagerly await to see what local goodies this new market will have in store.
