OpenTap was announced to open last fall but after some bumps in the road, we’re happy to see that the open pour concept is hitting South Charlotte this week! On March 3rd, this open pour space set inside a modern log cabin will open to the public. Here’s all the details:
Less than 7,500 square feet, this indoor and outdoor space will be a new community hub in the center of South Charlotte that’ll let you pour your own beer and wine. The space, OpenTap, is designed with the old log cabins of the Carolinas in mind but with a contemporary twist. It will feature a few unique corners like a shade garden, village green, tree house mezzanine, and an integrated food truck stall to focus local food trucks. See for yourself below.
Think of a space decked out in full timber and greenery with over 64 taps of hand-selected beer, wine, hard seltzer and cider, with 12 taps dedicated to hard soda.
The concept works in a way that allows total freedom. The beer will be self-served through an iPourIt tap system which tracks your pours and charges by the ounce.
