This April 15th to 16th in Gateway Village, enjoy a taste of Charlotte’s unique and diverse food scene at StrEATs Festival, a food festival meant to explore a food scene that’s expanding every year.
Friday offers entertainment from 5-8:30pm like food trucks, food vendors, cooking demonstrations, and live music, all for free. Saturday is when the real fun begins. Enjoy a mini walkthrough of the entire city–all from Gateway Village–that highlights the unique neighborhoods in Charlotte. NoDa, Plaza Midwood, and Dilworth are just some of the neighborhoods that will be explored via participating restaurants and food trucks offering special tasting menus that represent each part of Charlotte.

The event is free but in order to take advantage of all of the delicious food being offered, it’s required to have tasting tickets, which can be purchased here. The tasting portion takes place from 12-3pm, but there will be non-stop entertainment on the stages all day long (12-6pm), from cocktail and cooking demonstrations to Food Network’s Amanda Freitag and live music.
