This year, we’re experiencing the luck of the Irish because the US National White Water Center is bringing back all things green for St. Patrick’s Day. The Green River Revival fest will be back this Sunday, March 13th, where the WW center’s resident leprechaun will turn the river green amidst a bunch of other St. Patty’s Day fun.
At 9am, catch the Color Me Green 5k Trail Run’s competitive division where green clouds, green water, and green clothes are the stars of the show. Trail runners will get powdered with green and the cleanest and greenest runners will get an award upon completion. There’s a second trail run for recreational runners at 10:30 am so everyone can join in on the fun.
Aside from the St. Patty’s Day fun, you can also enjoy various sessions of yoga from Slow Flow to Acro and there’ll be live performances from New Breed Brass Band at 1pm and Cha Wa at 3pm.
Don’t miss the dyeing of the river. The resident leprechaun will be turning the river green at 1pm so don’t miss it! The festival is free and all you have to pay for is parking. We’ll see you there.
