It’s officially time for Charlotte’s 5th Annual Wine Fest, starting this week from April 14th-18th. University City’s got a lot of fun and boozy events going on all week. Unfortunately, Wednesday’s event is already sold out, but there’s still a lot of fun to be had.

Thursday the 15th you can get the royal experience at the ticketed event, Royal Wine & Dine. Chef Lisa Brooks is inviting guests to a six-course meal at her home with delicious and tasty meals paired with a suitable wine. Try a Fresh Cucumber Bisque paired with Buttercream Chardonnay or a Raspberry Soufflé paired with Borrasca. The tickets run at $126.82.

Friday the 16th you can enjoy an evening of food tasting and wine sipping at your leisure. Take a stroll around the lake and sample from some of University City’s nicest restaurants. Some of the ones that are participating this year are Boardwalk Billy’s and the Wine Vault. Along with restaurants, there will also be a variety of pop-up shops to shop at like Fairwick Candles or Pink Daisy Co. For this event, tickets are $30.

Saturday and Sunday are both for the main event, the festival which will be Charlotte’s 5th annual. Armored Cow Brewing are hosting the event that includes a fun day filled with . To ensure the safety of everyone, the event will be held outdoors.
Tents are labeled by the wine’s respective country or region of origin. From places like California to Argentina, Italy and even South Africa, ticket holders can get their fill of a ton of different varietals. There’s even a tent for Cider and Beer. At 10 different tents, you’ll surely find a new favorite that you’ll want to buy an entire bottle of. They’ve got different ticket price tiers–where designated drivers only have to pay $10, early admission ticket holders pay $45 for 5 hours of wine tasting and a souvenir glass and general admission costs $35 for.4 hours of wine tasting and a souvenir glass. A VIP table for 5 runs at $550. And don’t forget the live music that goes along with a day of sipping with your friends.
