Purchase a Picking Pass for Apple Hill Orchard to pick your own crisp apples and enjoy a side of yummy cider doughnuts and slushes. Because of this year’s bout of terrible weather, there’s been a few apples varieties that may not have reached their full potential, while other varieties are in abundance, so keep that in mind while picking. You can head over to Morganton, but make sure topurchase your picking pass (although you don’t need one to access the bakery and farm market, you do need one to access the orchard), in order to pick apples and beautiful warm-toned flowers. Passes have been selling out most days so gets yours before the seasons over.

NoDa’s popular Gordgeous beer is out with perfect timing. Gordgeous is a pumpkin or yam beer made with real pumpkin puree in every batch, paired with brown sugar, ginger root, and hand-cracked spices including allspice, cloves, and cardamon. For anyone allergic to cinnamon or nutmeg, neither of those two spices are included in the beer, which gives the beer a little bit of an edge as well. For big fans, NoDa is also selling amazing Gordgeous Hoodies to keep you cozy all fall and winter long.
